Dr. the Hon. Ewart F. Brown
Dr. Brown is an internationally acclaimed physician. Dr. Ewart Brown was educated at Central School (Victor Scott) and Berkeley Institute in Bermuda; St. Jago High School in Jamaica, W.I., and at Howard University in Washington, DC, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He earned his M.D. at Howard’s College of Medicine, and a M.P.H. from the University of California at Los Angeles. Dr. Ewart Brown is a member of several professional organizations. He has held such significant positions as Trustee of both Howard University and Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, and Assistant Professor of Drew’s Department of Family Practice.
After serving as Premier of Bermuda from 2006-2010 Dr. Brown returned to us in the capacity of Executive Chairman.
Dr. Mahesh Reddy
Dr. Reddy has been employed at Bermuda HealthCare Services for since 2000. As Medical Director he ensures compliance with policies and all regulatory requirements while liaising with other department heads to ensure the organization’s objectives are met facility-wide. Additionally, he creates and implements a best practice program, maintaining a consistent level of high quality care for our patients.
Born and educated in India, Dr. Reddy is a member of the Bermuda Medical Council and the Indian Medical Council. He is certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Dr. Reddy has worked in hospitals throughout Jamaica. These include: Bustamante Children’s Hospital, The National Chest Hospital (where he treated patients with chronic chest infections, such as TB and Non-Healing Wounds), Bellevue Hospital and Kingston’s Public Hospital.
Dr. G. B. McPhee
Physician Consultant Brown-Darrell Clinic
With over 40 years of experience in private medical practice and various appointments on Hospital Staff, including President of the Active Staff, member of Medical Staff Committee, Coordinator of CPR training, Dr. McPhee is a welcome addition to the BHCS team.
During his career, Dr. McPhee served as Physician to Lefroy House, Medical Officer, Bermuda Regiment 1968 – 1983 (Retired w/ rank of Major), introduced CPR Training (Heart Saver & Basic Life Support) to Bermuda in 1975 and Initiated island-wide training in basic CPR. He has served as a Medical Consultant to the Management Committee of the Government Employees Health Insurance (GEHI) Plan, as a consultant to the Ministry of Health and Social Services and is a Member of the American Geriatrics Society. Dr. McPhee is licensed to practice medicine in Bermuda and Bahamas.
